i am a game designer and researcher who makes games and zines about climate change, tech injustice, and fictional climate futures.
the games i make are part of the work I do as a researcher on sustainable futures. these fames will be forever prototypes, unfinished explorations of an idea or concept. sometimes they're made as part of funded research projects, sometimes as work with clients, but often it's just me exploring an idea or hacking a game.
i'm on a bit of a journey of doing research through the design and making of games. what I think this means is that the design process of making the games to explore an idea, future, or system is where the new knowledge is being created, through making and play. I aim to make games that encourage people think more about the systems they are immersed in, pointing to where the unsustainability and injustice lies.
